The Leon County Legislative Delegation is meeting Monday evening to discuss the upcoming 2016 session. The meeting serves as an opportunity for constituents to voice their concerns and shape lawmakers’ priorities. Democratic Representative Alan Williams said he’s looking forward to hearing from the community.
“Tonight is a great, great opportunity to hear from our, to hear from the constituents of this district, and allow them the opportunity, and however long it takes to share with us their concerns, and their hopes, their dreams, their aspirations,” he said.
Williams says he will focus on securing funding for public and higher education in Leon County, as well as pay raises for State employees. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the meeting, which takes place at 6:00 pm on Monday in the Leon County Commission Chambers, located at 301 South Monroe Street in Tallahassee.
