Florida A&M University's officials want to globalize the university, and President Elmira Mangum is returning from a four-city tour in China.
Mangum says she is using the trip to develop relationships through the Historically Black College and Universities-China Network.
“So it was good to see the different types of programs that they offer,” Mangum says. “I ran into a lot of different students from HBCUs and international students from other universities here in the U.S that were of the community. It looks like a great opportunity for our students across all disciplines in fact.”
The collaboration between the Chinese government and HBCUs allows students to learn first-hand about Chinese culture.
