Beginning next week Tallahassee’s annual summer T.O.U.R. Guide program kicks off.  Many unique attractions around town will be open free of charge.

Ever heard the advice to be a tourist in your own city? That is why the Leon County Division of Tourism Development puts on the award-winning Tourism Is Our Ultimate Resource campaign, otherwise known as T.O.U.R. Guide.  The summer event staple will be underway as of Saturday June 21.  T.O.U.R. Guide offers a variety of Tallahassee entertainment for free to show residents how tourism is significant for Tallahassee’s local economy. Open for the program are the likes of the 17th century historical Mission San Luis, Goodwood Museum & Gardens antebellum plantations, and the Lake Talquin State Park for a guided four-mile hike.

Later on in July, attractions participating in the T.O.U.R. Guide program will include the Museum of Florida History and Taylor House Museum of Historic Frenchtown.  For August the program brings the Challenger Learning Center and the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts

All free attraction days in the T.O.U.R. Guide program are a part of the larger Visit Tallahassee initiative.  To show support for the Tallahassee community through this initiative, you can Tweet using #IHeartTally.  For more information you can also go to VisitTallahassee.com.
