Drivers on Tallahassee’s Gaines Street might recently have noticed a new sign on the side of a previously vacant warehouse. The building near Railroad Avenue is set to open this summer as a brewery and taproom.
Construction is scheduled to start next month to transform the warehouse at 603 W. Gaines St. into GrassLands Brewing Company. A press release says the brewery will produce several beers onsite using a 15-barrel system. GrassLands also plans to create a taproom and outdoor seating area. And all of the beers the company serves will be made from natural and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Founder Gabe Grass says he plans to open in the summer and start brewing by fall.
