Midway’s City Manager has been placed under arrest for violating his parole.

Auburn Ford is also under investigation by both the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI.

Ford was already on probation for a 2011 offense involving tampering with or blocking a fire extinguisher, a felony. According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Ford was charged with violating his probation after a gun was found in his city-issued vehicle.

Agents executed a search warrant at Ford’s home as part of a separate, ongoing investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI.

Law enforcement officials would not comment on the ongoing investigation.
