This summer, Tallahassee residents and tourists have new incentive to see some hometown attractions.

Visit Tallahassee’s tour guide program is offering free admission to local attractions throughout the summer. Tomorrow, both the Tallahassee Museum and the Goodwood Museum and Gardens will be free. Visit Tallahassee spokesman Gary Stogner says the program provides a chance for people to show visiting friends and family some of the sights around Tallahassee:

“It plays an important role, not only in keeping the residents aware of the viability of tourism to our economy, but also, you know, the many things that are here to do and see as part of the visitor experience,” said Stogner.

Stogner said, of Tallahassee’s three million tourists each year, about a third stay with friends or family.
