LeMoyne Art Center Presents 'Enchanted' Holiday Show And Sale

Tallahassee's LeMoyne Center for The Visual Arts is holding its 48th annual holiday art show and sale. The event starts Thanksgiving night for members only and then opens to the public through Dec. 30.

LeMoyne Executive Director Ann Kozeliski said, the holiday show started in the early 1960's as a place where people in the community could find unique ornaments. This year’s show’s theme is "Enchanted," and galleries will be decorated as tributes to "The Hobbit," "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "Fern Gully."

“We have over 80 artists and they are all creating hand-made art ornaments along with what I call their bread-and-butter pieces for sale," she said.

The art work is all priced under $150 dollars, she said. And the artists will be displaying  some of their best works in the gallery as well.

The LeMoyne Center, Tallahassee’s oldest continually operating art gallery, is located downtown on North Gadsden Street. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
