On Monday, city and county officials met outside Andrew’s Bar and Grill in downtown Tallahassee to declare November 19th as Andrew Reiss Day. The declaration is honoring the iconic restaurant’s owner for his contributions to the community. And Reiss says his work on community boards helped him better understand his customers.
“It’s not an easy career, but it’s a very gratifying career. Like I said, people come to eat to have a good time. I’m in the good time business.” Says Reiss.
This is the fortieth year the restaurant has been open in Tallahassee. And as for Andrew’s famed menu with food named after the who’s who of Florida politics, Reiss says look out for an updated menu in the next week or so now that elections are over.
