New Goodwill Store Could Open New Avenues To Success

Thomas-Andrew Gustafson

On Wednesday, Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend and the city of Tallahassee broke ground for a new Goodwill store on West Pensacola Street and Mabry Street.  The 15-thousand square-foot facility will allow the old store on Mabry to be converted into an administration building says the new store has been a long time coming.

“We were completely out of space so something had to give. To utilize this corner, which was owned by the city of Tallahassee, we think it will be a better store for us. Also allowing us to expand in our administration building and to provide more services to people in the community. “ Says . Goodwill of the Big Bend CEO Jeff Shelfer

The administration building will also house a new prosperity center that will offer classes in budget planning and trade skills. Construction on the new store should be complete by the end of the year.
