Inmate Breaks Out of Madison County Jail

Madison County Sheriff's Office

Law Enforcement officials in Madison County are searching for a man who escaped from the County Jail Friday Morning.

Twenty-one year old Frederick Antwon McCray was arrested in May on charges of criminal mischief, burglary, loitering, resisting arrest without violence and violation of probation. He was serving time at the Madison County Jail and worked with meal services.

McCray was in the jail’s cafeteria when he escaped through an open back door and fled as a food service delivery truck was leaving.

The Madison County Sheriff’s office is asking anyone who knows something about McCray’s current location call the Crime Stoppers of Madison County hotline.

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart is asking anyone with information about McCray's whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 850-973-4001 or Crime stoppers at 850-973-2762.
