TPD identifies man found dead in "Occupy" camp

The Tallahassee Police Department has identified the man found dead at the “Occupy Tallahassee” camp as thirty-nine year-old Curtis Miller. Ryan Benk reports the man was found dead late Thursday.

Miller’s body was found by Occupy spokesman Larry Hendricks after he was missing from group activities for at least two days. His cause of death is still unconfirmed. But, TPD spokesman David Northway says no foul play is suspected.

“We believe the result of his death was from natural causes. We do not have any other updates. We are awaiting the results of toxicology reports. But, at this time we have no indication to believe that there was any foul play at all.”

Many campers recall Miller being an insulin-dependent diabetic and that he was feeling ill before his death. TPD says autopsy and toxicology reports will not be released for several weeks.
