Tallahassee, FL – Authorities in Bay County have arrested a suspect in a recent St. Johns County stabbing death. Tom Flanigan reports that twenty-four year old Latoya Jordan will be charged with first-degree murder.

Detectives say fifty-three year old Daniel Stuart Somerson had been dead for some time when they found his remains in his house at Fruit Cove south of Jacksonville. There was evidence that his killer had actually stayed awhile in the house after Somerson's death. Investigators say that person was twenty-four year old Latoya Korren Jordan who had a relationship with Somerson. This week, officers from the Bay County and St. Johns County sheriff's offices found Jordan at a home in Fountain. She was taken to the Bay County Jail. She's awaiting extradition to St. Johns County where she'll face first degree murder charges.
