Tallahassee, FL – Polls show the Republican Party's celebrity candidates are not likely to claim a 2012 presidential victory. Regan McCarthy has more.
A poll released by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute indicates 58-percent of American voters would never vote for Donald Trump for president. Polling Institute Assistant Director Peter Brown says former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin's showing is just a bad. Brown says numbers like that would make it nearly impossible for the candidates to win.
"58-percent said they would never vote for him. The other 42 are sprinkled among the relatively small number who said they would be enthusiastic about voting for them, people who said they might consider voting for them, or people who said they didn't know enough to make a decision."
After months of indicating he might join the official race Trump announced in a statement Monday he does not intend to pursue the 2012 U.S. presidency.
