Tallahassee, FL – Bond Elementary School students, at least fifty of them, will be taking a trip to see the Harlem Globetrotters when they come to Tallahassee next month. As Lynn Hatter reports, Tallahassee's mayor had a big part in securing that trip.

It's called the four-point shot. Outside the three-point zone on a regulation size basketball court, and 35-feet away from the goal. Before an audience of more than 200 expectant faces from Bond Elementary school, and crowded into the gym at Walker Ford Community Center, Tallahassee Mayor John Marks walked out onto the court.

Fresh from another event, Marks walked into the gym, took off his suit jacket, bounced the red, white and blue Globetrotter ball a few times, and took a running start.

Nothing but net. A perfect shot. And, as a result 50 kids at Bond Elementary School will get to see the Harlem Globetrotters in March.
