Tallahassee, FL – The Northside Rotary Club is preparing to host its annual daddy-daughter dance next month. As Lynn Hatter reports, the event is expected to draw hundreds of people this year and the proceeds go to charity.
Mayor John Marks was on hand Thursday to present law enforcement and fire service agencies with tickets to the event. He says it's a great way to bring families together.
"I think it's a wonderful idea for dads and daughters to get together for an evening of fun, an evening of dance and just to be together."
The dance is set for next Saturday at the moon. Tickets are 40- per-couple, and 15-dollars per additional daughter. The money will go to charities like the Rotary Youth camp for Children with Disabilities, an Orphanage and Hospital in the Ukraine and the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
