Tallahassee, Fl – Tallahassee Memorial Hospital received a check in the amount of 100-thousand dollars from the Children's Cancer Cooperative that will be used to help enhance the hospitals' Pediatric Unit. As Trimmel Gomes reports the hospital managed to secure a very generous donor wanting to help children anyway he can.
"It's just something the lord has called me to do to help other people."
Children's Cancer Cooperative President Harold Dukes will soon turn 74. He says he's seen many blessings in his life and he wants to share them by helping children.
"We give away million of dollars a year, and we would like for TMH to think of us again when they need some more money and I have brought 100-thousand dollars to donate today for the new room."
The funds will go toward a complete renovation of the hospital's undersized pediatric treatment room and the purchase of supplies. TMH Foundation President Paula Fortunas says the gift is a tremendous benefit to patients, families and those who deliver care.
