Tallahassee, Fl – Juan Melendez spent 17 years on Florida death row for a murder to which another man had repeatedly confessed. His plight became a human rights issue in his native Puerto Rico. Freed from prison in 2002, Melendez today is an anti-death penalty activist and the subject of a new documentary detailing the circumstances of his case and the human rights movement it help to create in Puerto Rico. James Call reports.
