Alcee Hastings

The Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando celebrated “Rattlers for Justice” Day in Tallahassee, unveiling a plaque naming its original 57 graduates where their legal studies began.

Democrat Alcee Hastings, who represented parts of South Florida in the U.S. House for nearly three decades, died Tuesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
