Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody hopes tips from her Scam At A Glance education program will prevent consumers from falling victim to scams this holiday season.

The holiday season typically means family gatherings and gift exchanges. But Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody says the season often also comes with something a little less jolly—scams.

Moody is expanding her scam education program, Scams at a Glance, to include a holiday edition. It teaches Floridians how to detect scams typical of the holiday season. Things to watch out for include fake online retail sites, deals too good to be true, and bogus charities. Floridians can learn more by going to the Florida Attorney General’s Consumer Alerts page.
