Interviews For New Florida Supreme Court Justices Set For Next Week

Interviews are scheduled to start next week for two new Florida Supreme Court Justices.

Florida’s Judicial Nominating Commission will begin interviewing Candidates Jan. 11 with interviews continuing through Sunday. The Commission must help fill two seats on the Supreme Court left open when justices Robert Luck and Barbara Lagoa, were appointed by President Donald Trump to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The Commission will pass its recommendations on to Governor Ron DeSantis who is expected to appoint new justices to the bench early in the year. More than 30 people are schedule for interviews. Three come from Tallahassee’s First District Court of Appeal.
