Lawmakers will reconvene in Tallahassee Monday to take up Gov. Ron DeSantis's proposed budget plan. During the week they'll also get updates on ongoing hurricane recovery efforts and issues.

Five months after Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida panhandle, the Senate Agriculture Committee is getting an update on recovery efforts. The committee meets to discuss the issue Monday.

Wednesday, lawmakers will have a chance to review the proposed budget from Governor Ron DeSantis.  He's pitching a $91 billion plan and says he wants to keep taxes low.
“Florida needs to remain a fiscally responsible state so we want a budget that is using tax payer dollars wisely and we’ve done that here," DeSantis said.

Senate and House Appropriation committees will learn more about the proposed budget Wednesday and Thursday.

Lawmakers will also take up bills on new voting machines and explore  law enforcement's use of drones.
