Former Panama City lawmaker Jimmy Patronis is remaining tight lipped as he assumes the title of Chief Financial Officer.
Patronis was sworn in Friday to replace Jeff Atwater, who is stepping down from the Cabinet post in the middle of his term.
Patronis declined to say whether he plans a major personnel shakeup.
“CFO Atwater’s team has been incredible. They have taken a considerable amount of time sitting down, going through all the department’s agency.
That’s why I’m looking forward to going through over the next month and getting caught up to speed on the mission of the CFO’s office.”
Patronis would not say whether he wants to replace Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier and has declined to say whether he plans to run for a full term to the statewide office next year.
