Gulf Power customers in Northwest Florida will be seeing a rate increase thanks to an agreement reached with the Florida Public Service Commission
An initial agreement was announced at the end of last Month, but finalized Tuesday without opposition from consumer groups.
The agreement includes a base rate increase of $62 million, with a $54.3 million net impact to customers through the end of 2019.
It means the typical residential customer who uses 1,000 kilowatt hours will see the monthly bill increase $7. Starting in July, the average monthly bill will rise from $144 to $151.
