Governor Rick Scott is making short-term, interest-free loans available to small businesses impacted by Hurricane Hermine.
The program is administered by the state Department of Economic Opportunity and loan applications will be accepted through Oct. 31st.
Businesses in 51 counties can apply for up to $25,000 to help with short-term cash needs until insurance payments or other assistance comes in. Up to $10 million is available, according to a release from Scott’s office.
"Small businesses across the state have been impacted by Hurricane Hermine. We know that small business are the backbone of Florida's economy, and DEO is working to ensure they have the tools they need to get up and running as quickly as possible," said DEO executive director Cissy Proctor.
