Three People In Custody After Shooting At Teen Party In Fort Myers

A mass shooting occurred last night outside of a club near downtown Fort Myers. Local police report two were killed and 18 people injured from the shooting. The two victims were 18 and 14. Three people are in custody.

The shooting took place just after midnight in the parking lot of a club that was hosting a teen night.

Jermaine Wilson was driving home past the club when he saw people running. He says the scene was chaos.

“It’s crazy, you can’t let your kids go anywhere. I don’t think there should be kids 12 years old in a club anyways,” Wilson says.

Fort Myers police detained three suspects. They believe a nearby shooting at a residence that caused minor injuries is related. Police say this is not a terrorist-related attack. They have not publicly announced a motive.
