Gov. Signs Bill To Aid Affordable Housing Efforts

Nick Evans

A housing assistance bill Governor Rick Scott signed into law Friday sets aside funds to increase affordable, inclusive housing options.

The bill provides funding for Florida housing projects serving homeless people and people with disabilities. It allocates the National Housing Trust Fund grant to reduce homelessness and add low-income rental housing. The measure also requires rent controls on units financed through the State Apartment Incentive Loan program.
