Florida’s spiny lobster season will shut down in about a week.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials say the spiny lobster recreational and commercial season will close to harvesters in state and federal waters next Friday, April 1st.
The re-start of the regular season is August 6th.
Wildlife officials say there will still be a two-day recreational sport season, which is July 27th and 28th of this year.
