Tallahassee, FL – Today Wednesday is the 70th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Regan McCarthy reports Florida Governor Rick Scott is marking the day by sharing stories with World War Two veterans.

Governor Scott invited several World War Two Veterans to share donuts, coffee and stories of service with him in honor of pearl harbor day. Veteran Bud Ledson's story is one packed with celebrities. Ledson says he was near-by when famed reporter Ernie Pyle was killed.

"I was there when Ernie Pyle came ashore and he got killed. There was two men with him. One was carrying a big typewriter and the other was carrying a big movie camera."

And Ledson says later when he was injured in the war he got a ride to the hospital from pilot and movie star Tyrone Power. Scott says he is thankful for the service of these veterans, and those men and women who are serving today.
