Tallahassee, FL – Florida residents can now see a new addition to the Governor's public records website. As Sascha Cordner reports, the Governor's office has added the salaries of thousands of workers at Florida's 11 public universities.

Spokesman for the Governor's office Lane Wright says the website, called "Florida Has a Right to Know" is part of an ongoing effort to continue with transparency for Floridians. He says now, that includes searching for the payroll information for about 52-thousand employees of the state university system:

"Basically, anytime that we can, we want to be able to show Floridians how they're tax dollars are being spent. And, just like all state employees, now we have University Salaries up there, it's all tax dollars, and Florida has a right to know."

The web site was launched near the beginning of Scott's administration. The most updated information is from May, but another update is expected in November.
