Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Sheriffs Association is looking to expand what they're calling a successful initiative to stop cyber predators. Regan McCarthy reports the FSA launched a program about a year ago that's stopped 177 potential predators.
The Florida Sheriff's Association is making plans to teach law enforcement agencies across the state the methods sheriffs offices have been using to catch and stop sexual predators. FSA President Ben Johnson says it's important to join together and to share what works.
"The only way to combat this crime is to work together, to get all agencies together, to learn how to do it and share our resources with other agencies."
The program involves education and outreach as well as, and sting operations to catch potential predators.
