Tallahassee, FL – Florida's Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll will be hosting two events today (Friday) at the 19th annual National Black Chamber of Commerce, or NBCC. As Sascha Cordner reports, Carroll says she wants to show black leaders across the nation why Florida is a great place to do business.
Carroll says she encouraged the NBCC to have their conference in Miami, and she will be hosting and moderating a panel that puts a focus on Florida's economy.
"We're having a round table discussion on how to do business in Florida to these businesses, these minority businesses, black businesses coming from around the nation. So, we get a chance to showcase Florida, make the connection for networking for businesses here, to partner and-or see what's out there and enhance their opportunities as well."
Carroll will also be hosting a coffee to introduce the National Black Chamber of Commerce members to the 2012 Tampa Bay Host Committee, which serves as the official federal host for the presidential nominating convention. Carroll's aim is to allow the committee to promote Florida and Tampa Bay area businesses to black leaders across the country.
