Tallahassee, FL – Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos is reorganizing his office for the second time in a matter of weeks. Regan McCarthy reports the senator's communications director is leaving the senator's office for a new position with the Florida lottery.
Senate President Mike Haridopolos's communications director David Bishop is stepping down from his position in the senator's office for a job with the Florida Lottery. Bishop, a former lobbyist and TV news reporter has been head of Haridopolos's communications office for nearly a year. He is expected to begin in his new post with the lottery Monday where he'll work in communications, advertising and public relations. His exit follows closely on the heels of Haridopolos's chief of staff Steve MacNamara who is now acting as chief of staff for Florida Governor Rick Scott. No one has been named yet to replace Bishop's position.
