Tallahassee, FL – Governor Rick Scott toured the Department of Management Services Thursday to take a firsthand look at the troubled state agency he hopes to expand. As Trimmel Gomes reports the governor told employees he has high expectations for them to meet.
Scott toured the agency which oversees a variety of functions including building construction, purchasing and personnel. During his pep talk, he promised to highlight the many successes of the agency but he said he will also let them know of anything that needs to be fixed.
"I have really high expectations and high hopes that we can save the state a lot of money through all your hard work. So thank you "
The agency came under fire for approving the construction of a lavish court house. Now Scott wants to keep a close eye on the agency and consolidate other state activities and functions under the department.
