Tallahassee, FL – Rick Scott's two-day inauguration celebration included a salute to the military. As James Call reports, the free concert for members of the Armed Forces featured national recording artists and Florida bands.

The mid-afternoon concert held at a civic center two blocks west of the state capitol drew about 500 people. The concert attracted current military personnel, veterans and Gold Star families. Among the performers was Rocky Lynne, an army veteran who last year recorded a song for soldiers CD:

"I said that lady in the harbor with her tote held high, the Mississippi River and that Governor Rick Scott Sky, ain't America beautiful..."

Also on the bill was the South Florida band Favor, Pensacola's Aaron Tippin and Lee Greenwood. The military appreciation concert was part of the two day-day celebration commemorating the inauguration of Rick Scott, Florida's 45th governor.
