  • In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Florida Department of State presents “The Fourteenth Colony: Florida Celebrates America 250FL“, a temporary exhibit highlighting items from the collections of the Museum of Florida History and the Bureau of Archaeological Research (BAR) that help to tell the story of Florida within the context of the American Semi-quincentennial. Dr. Sam Wilford, Executive Director of the Museum of Florida History, will discuss some of the items on display with a focus on their history, curation, and conservation. This talk will include a guided walkthrough of the Exhibit on the 22nd Floor of the State Capitol.
