Kevin McDonald Of 'Kids In The Hall,' 'MadTV' To Take On Shakespearean Role In Tallahassee

Tallahassee’s Southern Shakespeare Company is bringing in some comedic star power for a free showing of one of the legendary playwright’s classics this Spring.

Kevin McDonald is one fifth of the Canadian sketch comedy group Kids in the Hall, which had an acclaimed TV show by the same name in the late 80’s to early 90's. He’s also been on legendary sketch comedy show "MAD TV" and had roles in "That 70’s Show" and "Seinfeld." But when McDonald comes to Tallahassee this May, he’ll take on a very different comedic role – playing the character Malvolio in Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.”

One of Shakespeare’s romantic comedies, Southern Shakespeare describes Twelfth Night as “a hilarious tale of mismatched lovers and mistaken identities.”

Shakespeare in the Park is free to the public, and will be held at Cascades Park from May 7-10.
