Evers Announces Bid For Congress

Baker Republican Senator Greg Evers has filed to run for congress. Greg Evers filed Monday to run for congress in Florida's first congressional district--a heavily Republican seat representing the westernmost portion of Florida's Panhandle. The Baker Republican is an outspoken advocate for Florida's Department of Corrections and the Second Amendment. In both of the last two state legislative sessions he's sponsored unsuccessful bids to allow concealed weapons on college campuses. He'll be challenging Shalimar Representative Matt Gaetz for the Republican nomination.
