A group of lawmakers, law enforcement agencies and activists are calling attention to the dangers of driving while under the influence of marijuana.

The Don’t Let Florida Go To Pot Coalition is kicking off National Impaired Driving Prevention Month with a new social media campaign. Calvina Fay of Drug Free America says marijuana impairs driving.

"We will continue to do what we’ve done all along to tell people that marijuana is a dangerous drug, a very harmful drug, and has an impact on society, impaired driving being one of those impacts.”

Fay says instances of “drugged” driving are rising in states that have legalized pot. Last year the coalition led efforts to oppose legalizing the drug.
