Florida AG Bondi Pushes Back On "Republican War On Women"

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is pushing back against Democratic attacks that the Republican Party is “anti-woman.”  The claims stem from GOP opposition to abortion and the funding of birth control. But Bondi told convention-goers Tuesday that she believes claims that the Party doesn’t support women are ridiculous.

“All the women I talk about, they care about the same things I care about. Jobs. The economy. Poverty is at an all-time low for women. 401,000 women have lost jobs under Barack Obama.”

The Republican Party has largely backed away from social issues such as abortion and gay marriage this election cycle, choosing to focus on the economy. But some issues, such as the funding of planned parenthood and whether the federal government should subsidize birth control continue to play a role both parties’ attempts to court female voters.
