TPD’s Approach with Care Autism Awareness Initiative

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 1 out of every 31 children is autistic. As law-enforcers find themselves interacting more with people on the spectrum, the Tallahassee Police Department has launched an initiative in an effort to create better outcomes in those situations. The initiative includes additional officer training and free vehicle decals.
