Week of May 5th

The Southern Shakespeare company is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Shakespeare in the Park Festival with the mainstage production of Henry IV, part I, guest starring Wil Johnson. The performances are May 8th through 11th in Cascades Park. It is open to the public. Information can be found at southernshakes.org.

The Tallahassee Community Friends of Old-Time Dance present, Contra Dance, May 9th at 7:15PM at the Tallahassee Senior Center. Information is available at tallydancer.com.

The Tallahassee Film Society presents “The Trouble with Jessica,” May 10th and 11th at the Challenger Learning Center. Tickets and information can be found at tallahasseefilms.com.

This is the last week to catch some exhibitions at the Gadsden Arts Center and Museum: “Natalia Andreeva – Impressions: a Journey through Light and Emotions,” “Impressionism by American Women,” and the Founders Collection, conclude on May 10th. Information is available at gadsdenarts.org.

The Tallahassee Ballet presents Sergei Prokofiev’s Cinderella. There is an abbreviated children’s performance on May 10th at 10:30AM and full performances on May 10th at 7:30PM and May 11th at 4:30PM, all in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Tickets and information can be found at tallahasseeballet.org.

The Quincy Music Theatre presents Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, from May 9th through 18th. Tickets and information are available at quincymusictheatre.com.
