Join host Dr. Liz Holifield for "411 Teen," a locally produced program, created with teen input for a teenage audience. Guests provide insights into topics that concern adolescents. Over the last twenty years, programs have enlightened young people on countless subjects such as college admission, eating disorders, sexually transmitted disease, career planning, civic associations focusing on young people, and politics, to name but a few.

  • Established in 1963, Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratories is an independent, non-profit organization that provides marine life to schools and research laboratories worldwide.   • Florida YouthShine (Striving High for Independence and Empowerment) is a youth-run organization with representation across the state. Membership is composed of teens and young adults between the ages of 13-24, who are either currently or former foster youths within the Florida child welfare system.
  • The Community Connections Program serves youths between the ages of 13-17, referred through the legal system, or difficulty in school and/or at home. Community Connections operates on a 12-week cycle composed of key components based on the principles of restorative justice.   • 411 TEEN features Adult Community Education, also known as ACE. It is the largest provider of adult education programs in Leon County. ACE offers several program to learners 16 and older, including GED, English, and high school credit classes.
