With Medicaid Managed Care Complete, State Looks Ahead

Now that Florida’s health care agency has finished implementing a managed care system statewide for Medicaid recipients, it’s time to do some refining.

“We are going to streamline our credentialing process of the coming year," says AHCA Medicaid Director Justin Senior. "We are going to try to speed up health plan enrollment during the course of the coming year.”

The Florida Dental Association says it’s having trouble getting its members registered with the new health insurance companies and has been pushing for changes. The state is also planning to create a consumer-based reporting system to grade the health plans.
