Lynn University Excited to Host Final Presidential Debate

Lynn University in Boca Raton is bracing for its moment in the national spotlight as it plays host to the final presidential debate on Monday.

There is plenty of excitement buzzing around the campus for the big day. Freshman, Andrea Schwarzkopf, quickly called her father to tell the good news after she was picked in the lottery to see the debate, live.

“I won, I’m going to the debate I have a ticket in my hand right now. I was the second one picked. '  'Congratulations," said her father over the cell phone. ”

Schwarzkopf is among 750 students, that’s a third of the student body, who signed up for a chance to witness the final presidential debate in person. But other students aren’t missing much, in addition to watch parties around campus, there has been dozens of debate-themed courses added to the school's curriculum.

So while President Barack Obama and Challenger Mitt Romney take a break from the campaign trail on the eve of their debate on international affairs, the excitement and anticipation continues to build.

“I’m super excited and I can’t wait to be a part of history and to see both candidates and how they respond to the questions,” said Schwarzkopf who is a registered Independent but has not yet made up her mind.

“I’m kind of leaning towards Obama but you know everybody is saying Romney, so it’s it, I’m not, I don’t want to say anything yet.”

Schwarzkopf says she will likely wait until Election Day before making a decision.
