Wednesday night demonstrators gathered at the state capitol to protest the positions of incoming Republican president Donald Trump.
Among Democrats Wednesday some cooler heads prevailed vowing to look for common ground with the incoming administration. But on the steps of Florida’s old capitol Wednesday night, organizer Lakey Love was in no mood to give Trump’s a chance.

The hundred or so protestors assembled at the Capitol chanted slogans that became common during the run-up to the election. Similar demonstrations sprung up across the country Wednesday night.
