Ex-Madison High School Employee Faces Charges For Sex With Minors

Cortni Sprenkle Brown is facing five second degree felonies related to sexual relations with minors.
Madison County Jail

A former Madison County High School employee is out on bond and is facing charges related to sexual relations with students.

The investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Florida Department of Law Enforcement began two months ago. Officers looked into allegations of inappropriate sexual relations between students and a former employee of the Madison County High School. Sheriff’s officials say they received information about Cortni Sprenkle Brown’s interactions with 4 students between the ages of 14 and 17—but could not say where or who the information came from.

The alleged interactions occurred while Brown was still working in the schools guidance department.

Brown turned herself in to the Madison County Jail June 29 and is now out on bond. She faces 2 Counts of Lewd Battery on Child and 3 Counts Sexual Activity with Minors. The charges are second degree felonies and carry a maximum sentence of 15 years each.
