A Trick-or-Treat Stroll and Adoption Event

The Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers has announced plans for its annual Spooky Pooches Howl-O-Ween Trick-or-Treat Stroll & Adoption Event, returning to downtown Apalachicola on Saturday, October 24, from noon to 4 p.m. at Riverfront Park.

This free, family-friendly celebration invites you to bring your canine companions dressed in costumes and enjoy a festive trick-or-treat stroll through Apalachicola’s pet-friendly downtown shops, where local merchants will be greeting pups with special Halloween treats.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Stop first in Riverfront Park to pick up a map for trick-or-treating and enjoy a Halloween photo booth, free treats and pupuccinos for four-legged guests, and delicious homemade gumbo, fresh local oysters, and baked goods available for purchase.

One of the day’s most important attractions will be the Franklin County Humane Society’s adoption event, featuring dogs and cats looking for loving forever homes. Whether you’re ready to adopt or simply want to meet some wonderful animals, you’ll have the chance to make a new furry friend.

The Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local animal rescue organizations along Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Proceeds from Krewe events help provide funding for rescue and care of animals in need.
