History at High Noon: Protecting Florida's Historic Cemeteries
History at High Noon: Protecting Florida's Historic Cemeteries
Did you know that Florida likely has as many as 8,000 historic cemeteries, but only a little over 2,000 are recorded in the Florida Master Site File, which is the state’s official inventory of historic sites? Join Patrisha L. Meyers-Gidusko, supervisor of the Department of State's newly-created Historic Cemeteries Program, to learn how the State of Florida is helping to locate, document, and protect these important historical resources.
The program is free and open to the public.
