Country Farmer’s Market at Carrabelle’s Lighthouse
The Crooked River Lighthouse is hosting their Country Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 15, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm ET at the foot of Carrabelle's lighthouse. This outdoor market gives shoppers another opportunity to shop for unique gifts and deals while supporting local vendors, artists, bakers, artisans and crafters. Crooked River Lighthouse is located 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle, FL.
Market-goers can stroll through the lighthouse grounds and browse an ever-changing
variety of locally sourced and handcrafted items. Guests will find unique items like coastal décor, photography and art, jewelry, woven baskets, totes and bags, keychains, and cozy knit beanies and hats perfect for chilly days. Shoppers can explore organic, farm-fresh produce and eggs, grass-fed beef, batch-roasted coffee, starter plants, along with rich local honey and cane syrup, and homemade seasonal jellies, hot sauces and salsas. Visitors can also discover soothing soaps, candles, natural balms, and sprays, as well as local books, note cards, tumblers, and keepsakes. Treats like artisan breads, cinnamon or caramel rolls, cookies, cakes, and candied nuts are sure to be a favorite.
Visitors are invited to explore the free Keeper’s House Museum and Gift Shop, open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. The museum features fascinating maritime history, including the lighthouse’s original historic Fresnel lens. The Gift Shop offers handcrafted items, jewelry, nautical art, souvenirs and keepsakes. Adventurous folks can also climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast. For an added adventure, visitors have the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking panoramic view of St. George Sound for a small fee.
Vendors may sign up at any time for a $10 fee; no pre-registration required. Country Markets are held every 1st and 3rd Saturdays and are actively recruiting new and returning vendors.
