After Last Year's COVID Pause, Model United Nations Will Attempt Return To In-Person Session At TCC

Tallahassee Southern Model United Nations

After last year’s virtual gathering, the Tallahassee Southern Model United Nations will try for an in-person gathering next month. There are still openings for the area’s middle and high school students to join in.

Serving as the event’s “Secretary General” this year is Lacey Reddick. She said the students will have some big issues to consider.

“Dealing with the conflict in Afghanistan and COVID-19 relief. That’s what our students will be talking about.”

She said applications are still being taken this week.

“So far, we’ve gotten about 100 students registered.”

With room for many more.

“February 11th. It’s going to be an all-day event and hoping it will be at TCC in-person.”

This is the 26th year for the Tallahassee Southern Model United Nations.
